Not really an instrumental, it’s just that the only words to pop in my head while writing were “Maah…” and “Owwwww !” The vocals were cut in one take. At the end of the last “Maaaaaaah…”, the extra-long one, my face was cherry-red. This piece was the most difficult to capture because of the many technical problems encountered during the recording process. When the time came to mix the song, I hadn’t decided which bass track I wanted to keep, so me and Beaulieu (mix engineer) had to choose between a not-so good but ok-sounding bass performance, and a well-played but awful-sounding track. Fortunately, Carlba Stien was working on one of his many projects upstairs in Studio A at Victor’s (he practically lives there), and he lent us his wonderfully worn-out ¾ scale bass to record a proper track. Owwwwww !
